DescriptionI am new to setting routes and finding areas, so feel free to comment and add suggestions. Stumbled upon this area while doing woodcock surveys, thus the incredibly appropriate name and road that this area is on. Good mix of bouldering and top rope, with no anchors as this is a brand new area. Needs more scoping to determine possibilities of trad and top-rope.
Does not seem like this would be a crowded spot being out in the country. Rock is quite clean already and free of moss, felt sturdy. Most of the bouldering routes are on a significant slope which one could accidentally tumble down from a fall. No camping opportunities in this area.
Getting ThereIn State Game Area 73. Use the parking lot indicated by GPS coordinates. Continue down trail passing a brown gate for ~20m then look to your right to find a spire that starts the length of the formation. Very easy approach and easy to spot rocks. If you went through the deer fence then you have gone too far. Also stay to the right of the trail in the State Game Area as to the left becomes private property.
