This is a long existing park trail with generally shorter (40'-60') cliff-line that runs along the uphill side of the trail. The rock along Prospectors is generally bullet hard, nuttal quality, with a wide variety of grades in both trad and sport.

The trail has two entrances, one from the Tower-Tunnel overlook, the other at State Line overlook by way of the Geological trail. If you're looking to spend a day on just one trail, this could be it. Look into specific sectors within prospector trail to figure out the best approach/trail entrance.
