Description
This buttress sits prominently in front of the broken cliff line. There is a conspicuous tree hugging the south face of this rock.
Getting There
The easiest way to get here is to park in the north lot near Lower Mound Lake. Follow the trail east. It will bend south and the cliff face will be on the west side of the trail. The One Mile Trail loops back toward the parking lot just to the north of The Receding Ramparts.
Option 2 is to park at the day use lot and follow the trail to the Prairie Walls area. Continue north past Prairie Walls into the woods. This area is less popular so bushwhacking may be unavoidable.
