Description
Roughly 150 yards off the Caves Trail, this boulder is home to 3 interesting problems. Only drawback to this boulder is that it has a very strong tendency to be wet. The boulder problem Echo Belly, which traverses the bottom of this rather large boulder is notorious for remaining wet days (even weeks) after a good rainstorm. You can usually count on Rocking Chair being dry, but Rocking Chair Direct has a few cracks/slots that seep water too (although not as bad as the center or Echo Belly)
Getting There
If you are following the Caves Trail from the Top Rock parking lot, you'll reach this section after The Cracked Egg but before reaching The Magi boulder. Coming from this direction, The Rocking Chair boulder will be on your right side, roughly 150 yards off the trail. It is tucked in some talus so only the right arete (or the Rocking Chair problem) is visible from the trail.
