Description
Ol' Western is a prominent peak that stands out in this area of the Stronghold. A couple small canyons will merge into the main drainage to approach for the peak. The canyon will drop you at the base of the "Green Thumb". It involves some rock scrambling and bush whacking but you will have a good ol time.
Getting There
Behind trad rock area you can find a few small trails towards the drainage.
Follow a nice trail for 5 to 10 minutes and traverse over boulder fields and small drainages to the east. Once you cross that ridge and are on the major drainage follow it for 45 mins to an hour. You can leave packs at the base of the route.
