Wildcat Boulder

Colorado > Grand Junction… > Holy Cross Boul… > El Chupacabra Area

Description

This triangle shaped boulder serves for some easy warm-up problems and traverses. It can be seen from the trail but is not right off the trail, like most of the established boulders in Holy Cross at the time.

The boulder should have winter sun and summer shade due to its south-facing main face. There are obvious downclimbs everywhere.

Getting There

Refer to map for a better idea of the boulder's location.

Head northeast on the Holy Cross trail until you hit an obvious S-curve in the path. From there, travel another 100 feet and there will be a triangle boulder on the left side of the trail. This is the Wildcat Boulder. Head left to climb.
