Decided to finally make it out here to boulder today. Right as were leaving the dirt turn out where we parked we caught the attention of the Rangers/Fire fighters at the station that the trail now "goes through". After explaining to them what we were there to do (they were confused because apparantly NOBODY climbs out there) they told us they were cool with us exploring and trying some boulders but we were NOT to approach them by walking up the service road towards the electrical equipment that the original post says is the approach. They told to find a wash or small trial that runs perpendicular to the service road and to basically stay as far away as possible from any type of man-made structure. Fun boulders and even more unfound potential. Apr 15, 2017
I was here this afternoon (4/23/17) and also caught the attention of a cop and some firefighters who told us not to enter this area via the gate. They were really cool about it and told us to use an alternate path about 100' down the road since they would be liable if we got hurt entering via their property.

GPS coordinates for the alternate path are 33.646703,-117.443247

Me and a couple friends spent the morning here trying out a few of the easier routes and had a blast. There are shrubs pretty much everywhere so wear long pants or be prepared to leave with more than a few scratches. I got the GPS coordinates for a handful of routes and will be adding them to the individual pages. Apr 23, 2017
Hey Robbie, I looked up your GPS coordinates on Google Maps and was wondering if this looked correct.

Alternate Path Image

I was under the impression that the boulder area is located where I circled in black. If this is true, how does the alternate trail get to the boulder area without cutting through or getting close to the man-made structures?

Anyone who is familiar with the area, it'd be really helpful if someone could chart out the path to the boulder area on this map image and upload it so it's easier to find. Oct 23, 2017
