Description

Rock is primarily conglomerate and granite, there are some large boulders on the beach that are pretty solid. Some quartz monzonite (not unlike Jtree) but smoother and more worn down.

There are two large granite boulders on the beach in Great Rock Bight Preserve (possibly on private property but the boundary lines are undefined) which has some all-around potential for a few slab problems, two aretes with cracks, and a couple overhanging problems. Keep an eye on the tides, the water will reach up to the lower of the two boulders. Pads are helpful, the landings are pretty rocky.

Getting There

Car is necessary, easy to drive all around the island. Walking approaches are rarely more than 15 minutes long.
