Description Suggest change

For the lost, stranded, or otherwise misplaced ones of the Bakken oil fields, this is a small sanctuary. It's on public grasslands, but the land is also leased by nearby ranchers. Please be mindful of this. The rock is a very poor quality siltstone, and large boulders and flakes can detach easily. Some care has been given to clean loose debris off several of these short pitches, but things can change. The T stakes were pounded in sometime during the spring of 2015, but accelerated corrosion is not uncommon in the vicinity of oil production sites.

Getting There Suggest change

Go on HWY 23 until you reach County Road 12, which is a gravel road going south. County road 12 is east of Keene. You'll be able to see both Chimney Butte and Table Butte from the road.
