Getting There
From Invermere, BC, drive about 36 kilometers up Foster Creek to The Irish Creek Trail head. The trail to Irish Lake is likely maintained and so no bushwacking should be necessary to get to the alpine zone. However, a col must be crossed to reach the best rock (Koala Peak etc). Putnam did write that access is possible from the south side of the range, but no trails are shown on the current maps.
Description
One could say that these peaks are what will separate the Bugaboos from the Jumbo Mountain Resort, when it gets built. North Star Peak (10,250') and Mt Alpha Centari (10,000') are the highest peaks in the glacier capped central part of the group. The western peaks of this group are composed of the Shuswap "Choss-plex" and not much great rock climbing is reported. Just to the east are the granitic Irish Peaks and the good alpine rock climbing!
