4.Clean Slate Roof and Scarred Rock

New Hampshire > Rumney > Rumney Bouldering > Pink Flag Trail

Description

Continuing up the trail you will come to a very large roof that is totally void of holds. There are two possible lines on the outside of the roof on the aretes, likely difficult. Twenty feet up the trail from the roof is the Scarred Rock, possessing the best line to date. The Scarred Rock is a near vertical boulder with a deep, thin horizontal crack running through it entirely. Many lines possible, I only distinctly remember doing Scarred for Life.

Getting There

Follow the pink flag trail to these obvious features. Beyond these boulders the trail may become confusing to those not familiar with the area (which is pretty much everyone).

[Hide Comment] Any photos of the slate roof? Nov 16, 2015
[Hide Comment] I don't have any, It is literally a blank roof with no semblance of holds in it. It's like a chalk board tilted at a 30-50 degree angle. Nov 16, 2015
