Laguna Beach

California > Los Angeles Basin > Beaches

Description

On the Beach in Laguna there are a few boulders. These rocks are typically found on the northern beaches but climbs can be found along the walls of the beaches throughout Orange County. Most climbs are gonna be crumbly choss but every once in a while you'll find a rock with some seriously solid looking holds. There are also a couple of sport climbs in Laguna Beach in the hills but I have yet to try them. I'm making an entire Laguna Beach area because I know there is more than just the boulders I'm about to upload.

[Hide Comment] Anyone have knowledge of the cliff band that hangs below Aliso Peak? Right over the old Ben Brown's golf course there's a couple of walls hanging under the Aliso Peak ridge. There are several trails to access Aliso Peak from Laguna (Tower Trail) and from Laguna Niguel Summit. The Laguna trails climb up from the South Side of the ridge, and a fairly well-trafficked trail traverses along ridgeline from SouthWest-NorthEast. I'm curious if anyone has ever explored the cliff bands on the north face of the ridge. There are a few promising looking faces that hang just under the "Hangover House" and others further north.
