Access Issue: Access Notes
Details
CRAGS, the local Access Fund org, continues to work with the City of Rocklin, and its Parks and Recreation Department, to improve the conditions of this bouldering site. Because of the setting, litter is a problem in this area. Please do your part. With a number of clean-ups and a recent face lift to the park, it is one of the easiest bouldering locations to get to in the Sacramento valley. With a longer term goal of (literally!) draining the swamp, and holding many future local events, Rocklin Bouldering is one of first and longest ongoing projects. Note that the former quarries east of Pacific Street, and opposite Deer Creek Park, are closed to climbing. You can communicate access issues directly at CRAGS’ Deer Creek Park page

Description
The swamp is left of The Bayou and most of the climbs start down near, or in the water. It's typically shady all day because of the tree cover. This area gets the least attention in the park because all of the routes are X rated high balls, or must be protected with a natural anchor and top rope. Its pretty dirty and chossy and has very few routes as of now. It definitely has the potential for some of the best and tallest routes in the park though.
Getting There
Start facing the Pacific Street Wall and head right. look down the cliff into the wet area. everything from the far right where you can walk down into it to the slab that takes you into the start of The Bayou, is The Swamp.
