Description

Lumberjack Wall is a very small, obscure wall across/facing the Brown Wall. It certainly is not the best wall at Thunder Ridge, but it stays fairly shady and it's secluded. So if you are roasting in the sun at the Brown Wall, and Wasp Canyon is crowded, it's a nice diversion.

This wall is only about 40'- 50' in height, but it is slightly overhanging and has some decent 5.10 climbing on it.

There is a 2 bolt anchor at the top of the wall which can be used to top-rope several routes (maybe even all of them). It may be possible to scramble up to the anchors from the right side, but it's a bit sketchy.

Getting There

This is North of the Post Office and southeast of the Brown Wall. The best approach is probably through Wasp Canyon. Turn left as soon as you exit Wasp (pass by the Post Office). It is maybe 150' after you turn left.

The GPS coordinates are approximate.
