Description

The most popular bouldering area in the Sourlands. It's a fairly open section of the mountain with a cluster of boulders. If you follow the main (#1) trail from the Sourlands Mountain Preserve, it'll run straight through the main boulders. There's also a handful of isolated boulders nearby the main cluster.

Getting There

See the Sourland Mountain Preserve trail map.

From the main parking area, take the Ridge Trail (#1 on trail map) toward the North side of the mountain. Stay on the main trail and keep right (North) at all junctions.

I did a climb in this area today and I am wondering if it is new. There was no chalk on it and I haven't found any info on here about it. It is on the same boulder as junior, just on the far far left side when facing junior. Sit start with underclings and work your left up through slopey rail and right to a slopey topout. Felt like a V5 to me. I have a picture I could upload to get the problem on here. Or maybe someone already did it. Either way, let me know! Feb 19, 2017
I haven't heard anything about that one, looking forward to trying it! Feb 20, 2017
