Description Suggest change

This is a nice boulder on the backside of Coyote Rocks which has some very interesting and fine grained rock on it.

Getting There Suggest change

Park by the leaning tree, and follow the obvious foot trail to the base of the rocks. One can go either left or right here. In either case, follow the trail around the base of the formation and over a saddle. The trail wanders over rocks and as of now lacks distinction at points, but this boulder is right off the trail and on the backside of Coyote Rocks, pretty much at the base of the dome but set down a little bit. It is about halfway between the two saddles for the trails.

It is about ten feet tall, has a flat landing, and is composed of a different rock then everything else around it. One overhanging side is covered with really nice patina crimps, and the other side is an easy warm-up. In between is a cool arete. Have fun :)
