Description

This rock is completely untouched. It's a bit crumbly in spots but looks relatively solid in others. The wall ranges from 5 to 20 feet and has plenty of bouldering potential. At the moment the entire rock is dirty with overgrown/rocky landings, but with some love this could be the best bouldering area in town (Not saying much). If you go there, bring a brush, some tools for yard work, and probably a pad. It's unclear who owns the property (possibly the golf course), but it's not posted and looks untrammeled. Bugs and thorns are mother nature's present here. Prepare for both. Possible winter problems when the pond freezes as well!

Getting There

Take 1A out of Portsmouth. Turn onto 1B towards Newcastle and take a right soon after into the parking lot across from BG's Boat House. Walk behind the parking lot through a small patch of woods and you'll meet the rock ledge. The best rock seems to be on your right near the swamp.
