Access Issue: RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek
Details
WET ROCK: Holds rip off and climbs have been and will continue to be permanently damaged due to climbers not respecting this phenomenon. After a heavy storm the rock will remain wet, sometimes for several days. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB IN MOAB during or after rain.
RAPTOR CLOSURES: please be aware of seasonal raptor closures. They occur annually in the spring.
Description
A great addition to the Dakota Crag, featuring really fun routes on really good rock with a variety of grades and lengths.
Getting There
From Lower Parking, turn left at the Y and walk along the top of the crag to a rope ladder. After descending the rope ladder, walk east past the route "Might Re-arranger".
You can hike here in about 15 minutes through the pricker bushes from either Trenchtown or Good Times but it feels further than it is. When the Forest Service has finished building the trail, it will take only a few minutes to walk here along the base of the cliffs.
[Hide Comment] Two approaches... Left at Y fork in the trail (55 paces from trailhead) to a bushwhacking trail on the top of the crag down to a rope ladder, or right at the Y fork for a more obvious trail along the bottom of the crag to Ganja Wall.
