Great for Scouts and Newbies
A great place for scouts and first-timers to experience rappelling/top-roping. Located along Stone Creek in a canyon just off to the right of the Bountiful "B". The stone is somewhat chossy and sharp in some areas, but safe enough for 14+ year-olds to get up to the anchor location without too much climbing difficulty (there is a worn trail up and to the left of the immediate face). Height is roughly 25m to the ground (great for double-roping with a 60m rope).
Getting There
Follow the road up to the Bountiful "B" where you'll usually park where other ATV/motorcycle riders are (staging area). There is a small canyon off to the right with a dirt road which starts behind a (usually closed) triangle iron gate. The road heads downward for about 600 ft. then starts to head up the canyon (past the bend) along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail for another 1/4 mi. When you get to some waist-high concrete structures, you'll keep following past them through the brush by the small stream where you'll see the rock face to your right.
