Description Suggest change

Though western Cornwall is most famous for granite sea-cliffs, there is a wide variety of rock in the county. The cliffs at the Lizard (the southernmost point) are mainly composed of mica schist, a grey-black rock that is smoother than granite but with many square-cut holds.

Getting There Suggest change

The Lizard is about 40 minutes drive from Penzance. It is well-signposted, as it is a popular tourist spot, and there is ample car-parking (pay) in the village.
