Description

This is the first big boulder you run into in the Hummingbird Boulder. It has 5 bolted small lines on it and one bouldering traverse. The rock is decent quality (for Summit County) and has some interesting climbing on it. (It is labeled boulder #1 in the Summit Climbing Guide by Rick & Laura Karden.)

The sport lines posted are based of the info in the Summit Climbing Guide (including grades, etc.) .

The traverse problem, I believe, is new and is definitely not in the guidebook.

Getting There

From the the parking lot (same for Haus), walk up the steep, loose hill and past the turn for Haus then past the Seam and Trail Boulders. Then go up another 200' on the trail, and you will hit this boulder. It has a fire pit at the bottom.
