Getting weather forecast...

Description

Somewhere in the Nevada desert.

Getting There

It's obscure, it's remote, and according to all the "valley locals", it's not worth the trip, so don't bother with it.

I had detailed descriptions, including GPS coordinates to these locations. Unfortunately, I've grown tired of forum attitudes and decided to just be a dick and pull em out as a tit-for-tat sort of curmedgeonry.

Any one of the other exceptionally good-natured climber's who've contributed here are more than welcome to disclose the location here or through private messages, as they desire.

As for myself, being indefinitely bedraggled in a zone of douchebaggery and, bitterness, well... If by some happy accident we meet at the crossroads I'd be happy to provide a belay, a warm beer, and/or some anecdotal beta concerning at a very minimum the number and location of all unnecessary rap-bolted lines and epoxied holds we've not as-yet placed upon this spectacular piece of choss.

Go to Gerlach. Have a beer. Go south about ten miles or so and turn left. If you miss the big piles of rocks on top of the pass, you're blind and/or harboring a skewed perspective from climbing at truly amazing places like the Valley, or Indian Creek. If you make it as far as Purgatory, you've gone too far and you should probably just keep going. If you're afraid of desert dwellers with beer, guns, and 4x4's who utter indecipherable phrases like "Trump... Amurika Great" and "Walmart Jade Helm" you might want to reconsider leaving your house at all in this day and age.

If, however, you're one of those brave souls who understands the sarcasm of an off-road vehicle that sports stickers from both the Sierra Club AND the NRA, seek help. Then head on out and put up a route or two. Mar 25, 2016

I think if you are going to post on Mountain Project, a slightly better description of location and formations might be worthwhile. Otherwise just share it around beers and a camp fire. Mar 25, 2016
