Description
This bouldering area is tucked away in the forest adjacent to the AAC campground. Great variety of problems!
Getting There
At the bottom of the American Alpine Campground loop there is parking area across from camp site 23. Take the trail near the fire pit marked with a sign that says "To Burnwood". It will lead you up a small hill, towards the Gorge. As you hike downhill, you will find the first area, Tuggin' Shack, on your right. Walk along the Tuggin' Shack cliff line for the Souvenir Roof Area or continue straight for the Ronski Feint and Moe Areas.
You can also approach Interp from the NPS multi-use area at Burnwood, which lets you put together a great little Interp-Burnwood circuit. Driving across the NRG bridge from Fayetteville, take your first left off the highway, and then trend right through gravel roads and parking lots past some park service buildings. At the end of the gravel road near a large picnic shelter is the Burnwood loop trail, which will take you to Interp in about 10-15 minutes.
