Description

Sleepy Hollow is a crag developed by Steve Johnson. The below information was provided by him in March of 2012.

Northwest side (saddy side) are two 5.10s. Main face (southwest facing), left to right 5.11-, .9, .8, .10, .10+. Northeast 5.9. There will be two maybe three more routes going in then it is done.

Getting There

Park at Lizard Rock and cross the highway. Follow a trail for a few minutes to an overhanging boulder. Stay north of the boulder and in a few feet find a vague trail heading northeast. Follow the trail along the ridge at which point the trail becomes much more pronounced. You will drop into Sleepy Hollow on the southwest corner crossing to the northeast corner. About another five minutes and you are at the rock. When dropping down to Sleepy Hollow you will see the rock in front of you across the canyon.

I was with Steven the first time he started bolting here. We were only able to go up the little 5.4 gully to bolt the anchors on top and get a few bolts in a climb before we got pushed out by weather. I am sorry I don't have much info to add to the area, hopefully whoever he was with when he bolted more will have some info. Mar 31, 2017

I've only visited Sleepy Hollow once myself. If you have better information please add to this page. Ownership can easily be reassigned. May 19, 2015
