DescriptionVieux-Stoneham is one of the first crag developped in the Quebec City area. Located about 30 minutes from downtown, it is the multipitch rock crag closest to Quebec City.
It features about 20 routes and many variations, up to 4 pitches (100 meter) long. Most routes are in the 5.6-5.10 range and are ideal for the beginner and intermediate trad leaders.
Getting ThereVieux-Stoneham is located 20-30 minutes from from Quebec city.
Drive north on the 175 towards Saguenay/Stoneham.
Take exit 169 (chemin des Frères-Wright/chemin Crawford)
Make a left turn at the first intersection.
Make a right turn ou blvd Talbot and drive for about 5 minutes until you see 1ère avenue.
Turn left on 1ère avenue. The trailhead starts at a big boulder on the right side. You'll find a small rwo spot parking in the forest on left side.
From the trailhead, the approach takes about 20 minutes uphill on a climber's path.
