Monastery is a varied area with excellent sport and trad climbing, and angles ranging from slabby to severely overhanging. The far left of the crag is a steep wall with some difficult sport lines. As you head to the right, there is a mix of more moderate and slab/vert sport and trad lines. The far right of the crag is another steep wall with hard bolted routes.
From the main parking area cross the bridge across the stream and take the trail forking to the right. After about 250 yards, another trail will fork sharply right and uphill. This fork will take you to the wall where a short connector leads to Monk in the Middle and Arete Syndrome. Stay on the main trail to reach all the climbs right of Arete Syndrome. To reach the left side climbs follow a trail next to the wall from Monk in the Middle.
