Description

This is a mellow, 12' tall boulder hidden in the trees on the back side of Deer Creek Canyon Park. The 3 routes on the boulder are rated V1, V1+, and V2+. The left side of the face is V1. Veering to the right will feel slightly harder and slightly more crimpy.

Walk off from the top to descend.

Getting There

Follow directions for Fireblack Boulder. Hike past Fireblack for approximately 1/3 mile. Look for a blob-like boulder (see photo below) hidden in the trees and a cairn on the west side of the trail. From the left side of the boulder, hike uphill along game trails for approximately 200 yards to the Pyramid.

The hike uphill was definitely a bushwhack, and I'd recommend instead starting just a little further up the trail than the recommended picture, and then cutting back right as you go up, keeping in mind the it is basically straight uphill from that point. The hillside, where the picture shows to start, is falling away and going up that way is not going to be sustainable if there's many visitors. May 6, 2016
