Colfax Peak

Washington > Northwest Region > Hwy 20 & N Casc… > N Cascades

Description

Just below and southwest of Mount Baker, Colfax Peak helps form the characteristic saddle of the Coleman-Deming route below the Roman Wall and has a steep northwest face looking down on the Coleman Glacier. On this face are three alpine ice routes and a new mixed line as well.

Getting There

Ascend the Coleman-Deming Route on Mount Baker until a flat area at about 8,200 feet. From here, head straight for the route of choice.
