Description

The Silly Pinnacle is a thick detached pinnacle of rock that lies in front of the main wall. There are a couple routes from the base. One mixed and one free. The upper section has a few fun jam cracks that are short but sweet. The direct route starts up the bolt-ladder you see from the trail when approaching the wall.

Getting There

The SP is the first wall you come to when approaching Danland. There's a bolt-ladder right off the trail, by a large oak tree, that marks the start of the direct route (5.10, A2). To get the the upper jam cracks without climbing the lower pitch continue hiking the trail to the main wall and turn left up the gully that runs along the base of the main wall and the back of the pinnacle (be cautious, the gully is loose and steep) continue up this until starts to go downhill. Veer left towards the pinnacle, there will be a ledge where the jam cracks start from. Be cautious, the further right you go the less of a ledge you get.
