There's a lot of trash in the area. If you are headed back to the Labrynth and have some spare room, take a bag along. Posting pictures here could help protect climbing in the future... Nov 17, 2015

I realize that many boulder problems are hard to find here, but all of Columbia's bouldering is on the campus of the college or in the state park. It hurts our case for access if any graffiti can be linked to climbers. Recently, I found that climbers had etched arrows into Lance's Arete pointing to Cellar Door and Dan's Cave. This can't happen here without risking closure (or as one of the faculty puts it, "there won't be any more spongebobs on the weekends").

(TLDR) Could we all please refrain from scratching directions to popular problems into rocks?

Thanks,

Tons and tons of Poison Oak growing just about everywhere. Over growing parts of the trail back into the labryinth and at the base of alot of problems. Just a heads up. Also this place has tons of potential for development, an insane amount of untouched rock. May 15, 2016

Does anyone know where or if I can rent a pad in the area? May 22, 2016

Hey Angie, this is a bit delayed, but could help someone else. At this time, SNAC does not rent crash pads. I gave them a call and they do sell them though. Oct 21, 2016
Conditions are not climbable as of mid-May. A lot of the climbing areas still have large pools of water at the base of the routes from the winter's rain. Some of the rocks that we saw still had ~2-3 foot deep puddles at their base. May want to wait a couple more months before venturing out there. image of puddle at base of horse trail boulders May 15, 2017

Has it been a wet winter? Any chances there will be dry landings in late may? Apr 29, 2018
