Access Issue: Red Rock RAIN AND WET ROCK: The sandstone is fragile and is very easily damaged when wet.
Details
Holds rip off and climbs have been and will continue to be permanently damaged due to climbers not respecting this phenomenon. After a heavy storm, the rock will remain wet, sometimes for several days. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB IN RED ROCKS during or after rain. A good rule of thumb is that if the ground near your climb is at all damp (and not powdery dry sand), then do not climb. There are many alternatives (limestone, granite, basalt, and plastic) nearby.
HUMAN WASTE Human waste is one of the major issues plaguing Red Rocks. The Las Vegas Climbers Liaison Council and the AAC provides free "wag bags" in several locations (Black Velvet, First Pullout, Kraft Mtn/Bouldering, The Gallery, and The Black Corridor). These bags are designed so that you can pack your waste out - consider bringing one to be part of your kit (just like your rope and shoes and lunch) no matter where you go. Once used, please dispose of them properly (do not throw them in the toilets at the parking area).
Description
Hidden in a little slot in the eastern first pullout, Jessica's Wall has some very nice, albeit short, routes on beautiful black varnish. Pairs well with the other three walls in the area, as it faces ESE and gets morning sun.
Getting There
Approach to Civilization Crag. From here, walk around the south side of the wall, passing the new routes, and continue around aiming for a large, blunt topped formation. Make a single step onto a boulder and across to this formation, passing a 30 foot squeeze chimney underfoot at its base (This is The Crevasse 5.10- R). Take the obvious slot up under the formation, and when you emerge on the other side you'll find yourself below a massive chimney a couple minutes above you (This is The Chasm). Continue over one more gully, and below sits Jessica's Wall. 15-20 minutes.
[Hide Comment] Nice crag! Routes are short but very good on good rock! Complex approach (but maybe we did not know the best way). This and Dante's are GREAT! We missed The Chasm, but we did find and climb at the other wall (white/sandy) between Jessica's and Dante's. Three routes there that were a bit chossy (unlike the amazing rock at Jessica's and Dante's) but still quite fun. The steeper (right) route on that wall will be really good after a lot of traffic.

[Hide Comment] Replaced the original beta/topo photo I uploaded with an updated high resolution version (the max MP currently allows)in hopes of greater clarity on the mobile app/ tablets...Cheers.

[Hide Comment] Coming from Red Springs, follow the wash past B-Team Boulder and Tiger Lily about 30 yards until you get to an easy scramble that starts up left but quickly turns right. Past some bushes leads you to a "scenic" slot chimney which takes you right up the base of the wall. (see approach photo)
