Description

Sogn og Fjordane is the western-most county in Norway. It has the largest glacier in mainland-Norway, Jostedals glacier, the longest fjord, Sognefjorden, some of the highest and most alpine montains in Norway, as well as a coast line scattered with small islands. Here you can find both truely isolated backcountry as well as large tourist crowds.

Getting There

Boat or car a couple of hours north of Bergen, plane to one of the small airports scattered around, 5-6 hours driving over the mountain from Oslo (check weather conditions and road openings in winter!)
