A sport crag located nearby the closest highway from Quito to the Amazon basin.
This mostly shady crag has great access as it is within a regional park that has recently opened to facilitate camping, parking, and greater services for visiting climbers.
Route topos and more information in spanish can be found on the Monodedo website here. , starting on page 11 in the PDF.
The rock is mostly very strong basalt. It can be a bit dirty due to rain and overhanging plant/dirt terrain above. Banos despite the dust is a much cleaner basalt cliff.
The basalt has a relatively grippy texture and anchors/bolts are mostly solid. Average route height is probably 20m with a few multi-pitch or up to 60m long 5.12+ to 5.13 enduro routes with many more waiting to be established.
