Description
The seldom visited Northern Ice Cap can offer a Plethora of first ascents and a very accomplishing feeling of survival to visit. It is Flat, Expansive, and can be difficult to access for a handful of reasons. Most of all, classic patagonian weather. Wind can be a very serious issue and no storm should be taken lightly as they can last for weeks and drop meters of snow on you in a day. But for those that Endure you will see monte San Valentine, the ocean, and more snow than you have probably ever seen. You may find some of the guided trips out of Coyhaique on the Ice Cap but I assure you, you will feel remote.
