Description
******Due to Access issue, NPPY's River Wall is closed until further notice**** Jan, 2024
Nam Pha Pa Yai camp is located on the Pasak river in a remote valley near Saraburi, approximately two hours north-east of Bangkok. There are 50+ routes on several major climbing walls 15 minutes or less walking from the camp. The camp also provides food, lodging, gear rentals, and extensive knowledge of the area.
The rock is limestone, as is common in Thailand, however there are fewer tufas and the wall is more compact than typical. This makes the climb more technical and challenging than the usual tufa overhang.
Three main walls:
Pasak River Wall: Access is via zipline (amazing!) Long stretch with all grades of routes.
School Wall: Usually shaded, several good easy lines, great place to TR with beginners, and good to learn to lead climb and build confidence.
Bat Cave Wall: Always shaded. Hard climbing.
*The camp is a few hundred kilometers from the sea so there is no critical corrosion of the stainless steel here.*
