Description

This page is for the various crags and climbs which are to the east of the Camp 4 Wall and are accessed by hiking some or most of the Upper Falls Trail. Stay Free, Galloping Consumption, and Mindahoonee Wall are some of the more famous climbs in this area. This area gets a lot of sun and is quite hot during most of the year. The longish uphill hike keeps most of the climbers away.

  • Note that some of these routes have sensitive access issues. Don Reid omitted many routes in this area from his guidebook for concerns of hiker safety (regarding rockfall), climber trails eroding the landscape, and tattered webbing littering the cliffs. Consider climbing these routes in the winter, when the trail is "closed". You will find the temperatures to be much nicer in the off-season anyways.
