Southwest Oregon

Oregon

Description

The Southwest region is centered around Roseburg and the Umpqua National Forest. Main areas are the Honeycombs, and the Callahans, as well as, Rattlesnake and Terra Nova in the Rogue Valley.  More remote multi-pitch adventure climbs can be found at McKinley Rock, Acker Rock, and the Rabbit Ears (Rogue). Expect access issues at the Callahans or visit with someone who is familiar with the area. Most routes require some level of care at the beginning of each season.

Routes rated as "PG" may be unsuitable leads for climbers transitioning from gym to outdoor climbing at the same rating.

[Hide Comment] There is a guidebook for Southern Oregon Bouldering in the works. If there is significant interest, we may publish a print copy and release it. There's some good rock out there, if you know where to look.
