Getting There
- Drive on Century Drive away from town (follow the sign for "Mt. Bachelor Ski Area/Cascade Lakes" at the roundabout which intersects Century with Mt. Washington/Reed Market)
- After a few miles, you will see a sign for Widgi Creek Golf Course on your left. Across from that on the right there will be a driveway that's paved for a few feet then turns dirt. Take that right.
- Keep right after turning into the driveway, and keep on keeping right for a good while over some somewhat treacherous dirt roads (low clearance cars beware -- it's doable but will require finesse). Eventually, you will start to see rocks through the trees, and awhile after that will come to a large, distinctive turnout and a mere 50 feet from that turnout will be an obvious boulder -- The Brain. You're there!
Please tread lightly, remove any trash and brush your tick marks. Camping is allowed in the forest around Widgi, but please do not camp directly on the boulders or in the parking lot. There are many spots nearby that will be suitable ad still leave the parking and boulders free of congestion. Respect seasonal fire rules.
