Description

"The only reason animals come here is to eat other animals," -Josh K.

This prominent, north-facing buttress is separate from the main climbing area of Hartman's and offers several trad climbs with potential for a couple more. Get ready to get your crack climbing on. You'll know you're at the right place if there's bird poop and bones everywhere, but with a little love and cleaning, these could be some superb climbs.

Getting There

Go west on hwy 50 out of Gunnison and turn left, south, onto McCabes Lane. Follow McCabes over the Gunnison River, past a small quarry, and stay right at the fork. You'll go by some ranch homes and gates, and then be back on public land. The buttress will be to the south standing by itself and very near to a prominent fork in the road. Park at the pull out and walk ~150yds to the base.
