Description Suggest change

A great piece of stone that has largely been ignored and bypassed by climbers for decades. The Falcon Slab (Or Zydeco Wall) is a broad rounded monolith of granite on a sloping hillside, very near the Reed Lakes Trail. Although the route selection is limited, the quality of rock and routes is excellent. Since the original route development, this wall has overgrown with heavy moss, but recent cleaning and rebolting efforts have uncovered the routes and made them accessible for climbers again. This area could use more traffic to keep it clean.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the Reed Lakes Trail up the first big hill and through the bouldery gap past the Inferno Wall and Reed Creek Wall, and at the first section of flat calm water in Reed Creek, Falcon slab will be just up the hill on your right. The feature is an obvious rounded monolithic slab.
