DescriptionOne of the more remote and underexplored areas within the Cathedral Spires. Fraught with narrow, labyrinth-like gullies, sudden shear drop offs and approaches that become climbs in themselves, this area is guaranteed to provide chills, thrills, isolation, desolation and many opportunities for viewing wildlife, rare plants and spectacular vistas. Summits tend to be short and are sometimes accessed from the tops of ridges rather from the lowest parts of gullies.
Getting ThereBest approach is from the northern side. Hike from the parking lot on the left fork of the spires trail until you get to the Picket Fence area. Find a faint trail that heads in a south east direction. Spire Six itself is an obvious, low-angle fifth class scramble just a few hundred yards east of Kampsite.
