Description
Smelter Gulch, now a defunct quarry, has short routes up friable/fractured blast holes/flakes, as well as a couple of crack climbs. Most of these routes, while dirty with hollow rock, also have clean sections.
Getting There
From the Smelter Trailhead, contour into the gulch and cliffs for 8 minutes.
Per Samson Drake: once you park in the first dirt lot and go down the trail, you get to the bottom (on a big flat rock). The trail up from there looks like a small creek the whole way up.
