DescriptionMt. Dennis, home to the popular and well-known 'beer routes' stands tall just west of the small community of Field, about 20 km west of Lake Louise on the Trans-Canada Highway. Avalanche hazard must be carefully evaluated before attempting any of the ice or mixed routes on Mt. Dennis.
Getting ThereRoutes on Mt. Dennis can be accessed by driving through Field until you find a one-way access road that takes you along the base of the mountain. All routes can be accessed from this road, don't park anywhere else.
The routes can't be seen from the access road, but you can easily check them out from the Emerald Lake turn-off, 2.5 km west of Field on the Trans-Canada.
