Description

The climbing here is as good as it gets in Florida; however, many natural hurdles must be negotiated. Low tide is critical as well as low swell. If there are waves for surfing, the climbing will be soaked. Another variable is the height of the climbing. This changes significantly depending on the state of the sand. In winter, the sand is much lower, so the climbs are higher. Unfortunately, this is when the most swell action also occurs. Reverse for summer.
Park has controlled access and $2 per person Details

Getting There

Short walk from parking area down to the beach. Best climbing is a little ways down the beach from entrance

My favorite beach in South Florida. Fun and beautiful area to climb right on the beach! Wear a swimsuit, prepare to get wet! Rocks are very sharp! Lots of options for fun, short boulder problems. Walk down to the beach and then to the right for approximately 200 yards where the cliffs begin. $2 state preserve entrance fee per adult. Stay to watch the water crash and explode over the rocks at high tide. Dec 29, 2017
Thank you for posting this site. I'm looking forward to go there in the next 2 weeks, so I'll post pictures for future climbers wanting to go there.
