Phantom Canyon Stream Rock

In Progress

Description

East facing rock just over the creek from established campsite. Not crowded with climbers, but very touristy road. Rock is a mix of solid granite with brittle sandstone mixed in spots. A few good routes, several chossy lines. Two trad routes have been cleaned of severely loose and brittle rock to create decent moderate lines so far.

Getting There

Phantom Canyon Road North from US 50. Access is immediately after first bridge on dirt road. With 4x4, you can park at the bottom of the cliff. Roadside parking also available with less than 75 yard approach. Cross the stream on stones, rock is immediately to the left.
