Description

Great for taking first timers out! There are three distinct routes here that share an anchor with rap rings. The anchors can be accessed from the Plunge overlook above.  Looks like someone replaced anchors with bomber 1/2 studs and hangers for a nice top rope or rappel station.

Getting There

Hike ~10 minutes down the Blackrock Trail (yellow blaze,) from the parking lot until it intersects with the Brimstone Trail (red blaze.) Turn right at the junction, hiking downhill, and in a few minutes you will see the large slab off to your right. You can bushwack/scramble to a good ledge at the base.

Nice clean bolts at the top of Beginner Slab. Easy to access from the overlook above. A bit sketchy, but plenty of good holds and a solid ledge to access.

[Hide Comment] Anchor bolts are showing some rust, especially the left. Hangers look great, so I'm guessing it's mixed metal? In all likelihood they're totally bomber, but not my favorite to trust. I don't know how to bolt, but I'm happy to contribute to any of it here if someone would like to share a Venmo. Oct 8, 2021
