Access Issue: Private property, so keep a low profile. Details
This area is owned by the resort, so definitely keep a low profile, minimize impact, and clean up after yourself. Occasionally the Beginner Slab will be occupied by a guide from Wintergreen, show some respect and stay out of their way.
Great for taking first timers out! There are three distinct routes here that share an anchor with rap rings. The anchors can be accessed from the Plunge overlook above.
Hike ~10 minutes down the Blackrock Trail (yellow blaze,) from the parking lot until it intersects with the Brimstone Trail (red blaze.) Turn right at the junction, hiking downhill, and in a few minutes you will see the large slab off to your right. You can bushwack/scramble to a good ledge at the base.
