Getting weather forecast...
DescriptionA popular crag, set in woodland right at the end of the Eglwyseg valley. The routes are short (up to about 18m), but offer good climbing across a range of grades on a variety of cracks, walls and aretes. There are a couple of fully bolted routes (one 5.12b and one 5.13b, that might be it...), but the majority of routes are trad.
The right hand end of the crag is very sheltered by trees, so is a good bet if the wind is up or the sun is too hot. Further left, the crag is more exposed, and you get great views down the valley.
Getting ThereFrom Llangollen, drive all the way up Dinbren road (following signs to "World's End"), all the way to a hairpin left and shallow ford. Continue for a further 500m to a parking area on the left. The gate may be locked, in which case parking in the pullouts opposite seems to be acceptable.
Walk back down the road to the hairpin bend and through a gate on the right, following a path beside the small stream. The path soon branches left to arrive at the right hand end of the crag. About 10 minutes from the car.
