Los Huevos

New Mexico > Jemez Mountains… > Las Conchas > (O) The Subdivisions

Description

Shorter steep wall with obvious blobby features and jugs that is similar to the climbing at the UEF and Enchanted Tower. Really fun and very sunny for the winter days. Gets shade late in the afternoon in the summertime.

Like all the rhyolite areas along the East Fork, the rock is a bit crumbly but improves with traffic.

Getting There

Approach per description for The Subdivisions and the trail to the wall is located on its left end coming from Muralla Blanca or the right end coming from The Retirement Wall.

[Hide Comment] Some climbs are missing from the list here, which makes orienting a bit harder.
-There is a climb between Puerto de Luna and Pumping Huevos, coming out of the shallow cave.
-There is a climb left of Todos Revueltos, and anchors for another route (not fully bolted yet) left of that.

They both look to be quite hard. Apr 5, 2015
