DescriptionThis is a relatively small area comprised of a few warm-up problems, a multitude of exotically featured rock for traversing, and the glorious and inspiring wonder that is The Rhino as the center piece.
Some may consider this area to be a "one hit wonder", with The Rhino being the primary -- if not only attraction, but it is none-the-less a must-try for anyone visiting The Pass!
Getting TherePark your vehicle in The Pass's parking area. Follow the obvious, sandy, man-made path for 15 - 20 min (or 1.6 km) until you arrive at a point where the first permanent stream to cross the hiking path is visible ahead. That very same stream should be flowing parallel to the path at the place where you are standing. From this spot look to your 10 o'clock and there, in the distance, the unmistakable silhouette of The Rhino is visible. That feature and beyond constitutes the Rhino Boulders area.
